Tip: Personalize this recipe to suit your taste buds by swapping out the cinnamon and maple syrup for your preferred flavors!
Ingredients (serves 1):
1/2 cup muesli or old-fashioned rolled oats
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 serving of your choice of protein powder (I recommend using unflavored!)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Maple syrup or honey to taste
1/2 cup milk of your choice
Optional toppings: fresh or dried fruit, nuts or nut butter, or coconut flakes!
Instructions:
To prepare, simply combine all the ingredients in a Tupperware container or a mason jar. Shake or stir well to ensure everything is evenly mixed.
Store the container in the refrigerator overnight, allowing the oats to soak and flavors to meld.
In the morning, give the oats a good stir and enjoy! The overnight oats can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days. However, if you've added fruit toppings or mix-ins, consuming within three days is recommended to prevent the fruit from spoiling.
Feel free to get creative with your toppings! Add fresh or dried fruit, nuts or nut butter, or add coconut flakes for extra deliciousness.
Get ready to seize the day with a hearty and nutritious breakfast that will keep you energized throughout the morning. Enjoy!
